| We bought a 17½ foot saiboat, an O'Day Day Sailer, in 1978. We moored it some years and trailered it some years. We had it on a trailer in the backyard under some trees for years at our house in Hingham and we had a hurricane in 2011 that took the top off of one of the 2 pine trees and it fell on the boat crushing the mast that was suspended across the length of the boat. We kept the boat for years, eventually giving it to someone who would take it as is (hauling away in last photo). |
