| I came across this letter in 2011 that I had sent to my draft board in 1968 (written on a typewriter like we did in those days). I had applied for Conscientious Objector status but I couldn't fill out the form because I am an atheist and the form assumed your C.O. beliefs were based on religious training. I sent a letter explaining my beliefs (as described here) but was denied C.O. status. Read here about the entire episode of my draft resistance. |
