These are construction photos (July, 2015 - June, 2016) of the small house we have remodeled on Otis Hill here in Hingham. We have lived here in this completely rebuilt ("new") house since it was finished in 2016 and seeing these photos is shocking, remembering the construction as it progressed, from the little house we bought to the great house we have now. The existing garage was attached to the house via a mudroom, we expanded the back of the house out 15 feet, dormers were added to the 2nd-floor, we put an addition to left of the front door which includes the master bedroom & bathroom and a new garage below it on the back (we added a 2nd driveway). We increased the size of the house from 1200 sq ft to 3200 sq ft (a lot of the increase from expanding out the main floor and basement and finishing the basement, which has become my "man cave"). I should mention, the brick on the house was only a facade siding, and we replaced it with shingles, so it doesn't look anything like the litle brick house we bought (Before & after). Please note: Because we lived locally during construction (about a mile from our new house) I was able to visit frequently and take these photos. Because I usually visited on weekends, when the contruction was not going on, you don't see the builders in a lot of photos. Our architect was Roger Hoit and our builder was Construction Technology Group (CTG) (lead by Kevin Goslin). When I look at these photos I can't believe what we went through to get the beautiful house we ended up with.

• Sometimes I can't believe how BIG this project was that we went through—fortunately we didn't live there at the time!
• Construction started July 13, 2015. The first 25 or so photos are mostly demolition.
• Dormers are constructed on the roof, front and rear, for the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.
• A guy uses joysticks to control the pouring of concrete in the foundations from a truck via an extended arm over the house.
• After the foundations are poured, including the new double-garage floor, new additions are created.
• New stairways, to replace existing stairways, to second floor and basement are created.
• The interior construction begins and rooms are framed for the bedrooms and basement.
• Exterior (roofing, windows and doors, siding shingles) is done.
• The new front-entry foyer has been framed and the fronts steps are completed with columns.
• A Unico small-duct, high-velocity HVAC system (AC and heating) is being installed (see foil tubes in photos).
• Garage doors are installed, and the deck is framed.
• Fireplace is installed, and a mudroom door overhang is added.
• Insulation is being blown into outside walls.
• We have walls! Sheetrock (blueboard) on inside walls is done.
• Plastering is done.
• Interior window and door trim installed.
• Painting is done.
• Kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities are being installed.
• New cabinets, shelves, and drawers are installed in closets, bathrooms, and laundry room.
• Walnut hardwood floor is down in living room, tile is being installed in bathrooms and entry ways.
• Carpetting has been put down in bedrooms and on stairs.
• Laminate and carpet is put down in basement rooms.
• We have all new appliances including 2 ovens, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher in kitchen, and washer & dryer in laundry room.
• We moved in at the end of June, 2016. The house is mostly complete with a few minor details still being finished.
